Andy Murray sailed into the
quarter-finals of the Australian Open after his opponent, Mikhail Kukushin
resigned in the game in the fourth round. Kukushin left hip injury.
Murray was leading 6-1, 6-1, and
1-0 when his opponent, Russian tennis player born in Kazakhstan approached the
net. Then he said he could not continue the match.
In the first set at 4-1 shifts,
Kukushin coaches call and receive treatment.
Murray, who last year successfully became the runner up, in the Australian Open quarter-finals, will face the
Japanese tennis player Kei Nishikori.
